TIBET 2008
March 2008 saw the breakout of the largest protests in Tibet since 1959, as Tibetans across the country went out in large numbers to take part in peaceful protests against Chinese rule. It has made the world aware of condition and voice of Tibetan people in Tibet despite almost sixty years of repression, the Tibetan people still demand their freedom. This uprising is covered in frontpage of various newspapers, online discussions and social sites.
As a mark of respect and to be a part of this historical uprising, Think Tibet launched this short film titled ' TIBET 2008'.
It was being screened to the Tibetan people in Bangalore and also to the Tibetan college students in Tibetan Youth Hostel, Bangalore. It was screened in the REWA - 50 Years of Hope Festival 2009 in spreading awareness among intellectuals and Indian participants in three days festivals.
